Naomi Cashman

I enjoy painting in watercolor after many years working with oils and wood sculpture. The flow, texture and transparency of watercolor is both fascinating and challenging.

I am self taught having always enjoyed being creative. I grew up in rural Kansas and am constantly inspired by the beauty of our natural world, wanting to capture what I see, whether at home or traveling. Each season draws me outdoors to capture the essence of the season which influences my palette. My camera travels with me to record thoughts and moods of scenes I find interesting and inspiring.

I exhibit regularly in Topeka galleries where I have received awards in juried shows at the Topeka Art Guild where I am a member. My paintings have been juried into Visions of the Flint Hills in Kansas City, The Mark Arts National Watercolor Exhibition and the Eight Annual National Parks Exhibit.

I exhibit regularly in the Manhattan Art Center Wrap it Up holiday show. I was invited as featured artist at NexLynks Gallery and received Peoples Choice award at SouthWind Gallery in Topeka. In 2015 I painted the program cover for Topeka’s annual Sunflower Music Festival. In 2020 I was featured artist in a solo exhibit at Landmark Bank in Lawrence, KS.
