Story

Monthly Member Meeting

A very large group of members attended the monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 23. The featured speaker was Appolonia Jamison.

Many  framed pictures were shown, with an emphasis on harmonious colors and professional techniques and materials.

Appolonia  began by showing an early piece with an unfinished back, and then shared many more beautifully-framed pieces.

She surprised the group by disassembling a framed oil painting, so that all could see the various layers of materials used.

Additional pictures are available on the Guest Speaker page.

TAG artist of the month for June 2023 is Melanie Hutchinson.

Be sure to visit the gallery to enjoy her work!

The Wednesday Acrylic Painting class that was offered in May will be changed into a workshop-style event that will be open to the public.

An essential part of the TAG mission is to "promote and support the visual arts and arts education through public programs."

Wonderful Wednesday Workshops will be held on June 14 and June 28, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Drop-ins are welcome. The event is free. Donations to TAG are encouraged. See the Event Calendar to register.

What's Going on at TAG?

If you dropped by the gallery on Wednesday, May 31, you would have seen a LOT of activity.

Sherrie Dick was busy working on the front window display and preparing for First Friday.

In the classroom, three TAG members were joined by a mother-daughter team of painters.
