Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides leadership and guidance between regularly scheduled Board meetings and addresses time-sensitive organizational matters when action is required. The committee supports the Board in implementing strategic priorities, monitors organizational progress, and works closely with committee chairs to ensure the Guild's mission and goals are being achieved. ensures the Board remains effective, informed, and well-prepared to lead the organization. The committee recruits and recommends qualified Board candidates, oversees Board orientation and development, reviews bylaws and governance policies, and promotes best practices in nonprofit leadership and accountability.

The Membership Committee is dedicated to growing and strengthening Guild membership by recruiting new members, welcoming artists and supporters, and fostering an inclusive and engaging environment. The committee develops member recognition and retention initiatives, encourages participation in Guild activities, and serves as a resource for member questions, benefits, and volunteer opportunities.

Programs & Exhibitions Committee

Members:

The Programs & Exhibitions Committee plans, coordinates, and oversees the Guild's educational and artistic programming. Responsibilities include organizing exhibitions, workshops, artist demonstrations, lectures, critiques, and special events that encourage artistic growth, showcase member artwork, and provide enriching experiences for both members and the community.

Events & Fundraising Committee

Members:

The Events & Fundraising Committee develops and coordinates fundraising activities that support the Guild's mission and long-term sustainability. The committee organizes art shows, receptions, community events, auctions, and other fundraising initiatives while cultivating sponsorships, donor relationships, and volunteer support to expand the Guild's impact.

Communications & Marketing Committee

Pam Rees - Newsletter 

The Communications & Marketing Committee promotes the Guild's mission, programs, and events through effective communication for member and public outreach. The committee manages the Guild's Member Meeting's and social engagement. Using social media platforms, produces newsletters and promotional materials, maintains the event calendar, works with members, to strengthen the Guild's visibility throughout the community.

Grants & Scholarships Committee

Lila Bartel - High School Liaison 

The Grants & Scholarships Committee seeks opportunities to expand financial support for the Guild and local artists. Committee members research grant opportunities, assist with grant writing and reporting, coordinate scholarship programs for area students, and recommend funding opportunities that advance arts education and community engagement.

Gallery Operations Committee

Chair:  Jonah Graf 

Members: 

The Gallery Operations Committee is responsible for maintaining a safe, attractive, and functional gallery environment for members, artists, and visitors. Committee members coordinate the installation and removal of exhibitions, maintain artwork displays, move display panels, pedestals, and other equipment, safely install artwork in elevated areas when needed, perform light maintenance and repairs, assist with gallery improvements and facility projects, monitor the condition of gallery spaces and equipment, and help ensure the gallery is clean, organized, and welcoming for exhibitions, receptions, workshops, classes, and other Guild events.

Website & Technology Committee

Chair: Miranda Easton 

Members: 

The Website & Technology Committee manages and enhances the Topeka Art Guild's digital presence and technology resources. The committee maintains the Guild's website, supports online communications, membership services, digital archives, and technology needs for meetings, exhibitions, workshops, and events.

The committee also helps protect the Guild's digital assets by supporting secure technology practices, safeguarding online accounts and digital files, and recommending solutions that improve communication, efficiency, and member services.
