Dear TAG Members,

Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum has invited the Art community to take part in the 2013 Summer Soulstice on Friday evening June 21, 2013. Stephen T. Johnson will be there painting a commissioned painting, and will be available for a FREE mini workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
You are welcome to watch the artist as he works and paint alongside him as he talks about techniques you can try to strengthen your paintings. Bring lots of questions.

Sign up for the workshop today. 20 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a great opportunity for artists to network, learn, gain exposure and maybe take home some money. This is a plein air competition. The top 3 paintings from the workshop will receive cash prizes, $100, $75 and $50, respectively.  The finished paintings will be displayed at the Penwell-Gabel Concert in the Park on September 22, where the prizes will be awarded.

Also enjoy wine, food and live music. Music provided by Westwood String Quartet and harpist Jim Mosher. There'll be stuff for the kids too. Be sure to visit the children's tent loaded with art activities.

All of this is happening during the Summer Soulstice Art Fair, June 21 from 5:30-7:30pm at the 6th Street entrance of the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Free entry, free parking, free workshop, free food, free music.

Artists interested in the workshop must RSVP by June 15th by emailing Gary@southwindartgallery.com or calling SouthWind Gallery at 785-273-5994.
We're dying to hear from you.
